As a part of the Department of Health’s “Putting People First” strategy funding has been made available to Local Authorities to change the way they support people and provide a more “personalised” package of care/support.
As a result an increasing number of people are able to exercise an increasing amount of control over what support they receive, when, how and from whom. There are a number of ways people are able to purchase the support they need from a provider/agency.
Direct Payment : a cash payment to you so you can acquire your own support rather than having it delivered by the council.

Personal Budget: an individual budget made up solely of social care funding.
Individual Budget: a clear up-front allocation of money that can combine several funding sources, this could be funding such as health care, social care, Independent Living Funds, that you can use to design and purchase support.
The Trust can deliver a bespoke package of care and/or support to meet your specific needs using any one of the above funding streams. Please see our Community page for contact details for your area.
