Friday 14th July, was a day filled with inspiration as the team at The Wilf Ward Family Trust gathered in York for a special filming project. Led by Paul McCay, CEO of the Trust, the filming aimed to capture the essence of the organisation and highlight the incredible stories of both the dedicated team members and the individuals they support.

The Wilf Ward Family Trust has long been known for its commitment to providing exceptional support and care for individuals with disabilities. The filming project sought to showcase the trust’s unique qualities and the positive impact it has on the lives of individuals and the community at large. Through heartfelt interviews and captivating visuals, the video will illustrate how the Trust becomes a voice for those who need it most, advocating for their rights and ensuring their voices are heard.

The team, consisting of Trustee’s Dianne and Marianne, Rachel Morrill, Head of Transitions, Kelly Sidebottom, Registered Manager, Leanne Reid, Manager, and Shannon Dunlop, Support Worker, along with some of the wonderful individuals from Jigsaw, participated in the filming. Their passion and commitment to the trust’s vision of inclusivity and making a tangible difference in people’s lives were evident throughout the day.

In addition to the serious aspects of the filming, a touch of light-heartedness was added to bring smiles to everyone’s faces. The team included a final question in the interviews, asking, “If you were a biscuit, which one would you be?” This playful question not only provided a glimpse into the unique personalities and qualities of both the team members and the individuals they support but also added a delightful element to the video.

During the filming, Paul McCay emphasised the trust’s dedication to going beyond providing support, becoming true advocates for the individuals they serve. He highlighted the Trust’s positive impact on their lives and the wider community, emphasising how their voices are heard and their needs are addressed.
