Over the past weekend, a group of remarkable individuals from Sherburn House embarked on an unforgettable adventure at Leeds Festival. Megan, Madison, Simon, Jemima, and Josh lit up the festival grounds with their infectious enthusiasm and love for music. Despite some initial wet and windy weather, their spirit remained undaunted as they danced their hearts out to the electrifying performances of artists like Billie Eilish, Central Cee, The 1975, and The Killers. What transpired over those three days was nothing short of magical, leaving us with cherished memories and a profound appreciation for the power of inclusion.
A Festival of Inclusion: One of the standout aspects of this experience was the festival’s commitment to accessibility. Leeds Fest went above and beyond to ensure that everyone, regardless of their abilities, could fully enjoy the festivities. They provided free companion tickets, accessible parking, shuttle buses, viewing platforms, and hoists to make sure we could comfortably participate in all the festival had to offer.

David, Abdullah, Hannah, Hanna, and countless kind strangers came together to ensure our group felt included and had the adventure of a lifetime. Morgan not only secured the tickets but also liaised with the Leeds Fest accessibility team and worked tirelessly, putting in 12-14 hour days, to make this incredible experience a reality.
