In East Riding, a Support Worker noticed that Sally was very concerned about the amount of litter that she passed on her walk home each day. So they contacted Friends of the Beck – a community group that has been set up to improve the area around the Beck in Driffield and to encourage wildlife to re-inhabit the area.

As part of a wider plan to create a wildlife corridor and walkway along the entire length of the Beck, Sally was supplied with litter picking equipment and she now works with this group. She is proud to be contributing to the local community and environment – this fosters a feeling of purpose, knowing she is helping to protect wildlife, preserve natural beauty, and create cleaner, healthier spaces for everyone.

This amazing story showcases the importance of engaging in activities that bring joy and fulfilment. Let’s continue to celebrate and support these wonderful achievements.
